Cape Cod summer vacation seekers, the first stop is the Upper Cape. It is the section of Cape Cod closest to the Sagamore and Bourne Bridges and the Cape Cod Canal., and includes the towns of Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth, and Mashpee. Falmouth is the largest of these towns and home to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as well as one of the main ferry connections to Martha's Vineyard.

Try Old Silver or Surf Drive Beach in Falmouth. In late summer Falmouth fills with runners of all types for their famous Falmouth road race.
