The Scoop:
Dining outside with a sea breeze from the nearby beach is always what I crave when I come to vacation on the Cape. The excellent food and service is a plus. But we love the atmosphere!

Pros:
Favorite dishes include filet mignon , the salmon when they have it and the shrimp scampi. Don't forget the garlic bread! Really love the house salad at the beginning of all dinners. Nobody does that anymore!

Cons:
Indoors seems a bit stuffy. Small cottage with lots of people. That is why we always try to sit outside.

The Scoop:
have been dining here for over 20 years. Gina's is run by Larry. His place has a cult following. The same bartender and two waitresses remain and each year a few new waitstaff join. They don't take reservations so peak summer, well good luck. Go early, sit at the bar or outside and enjoy the wait. The restaurant is settled amongst small rentals. It's a little salt spray kind of community and Gina's is all part of the scheme. I love the entire vibe. The bar booths are not confy as the seats are not deep enough. The bar is dark but lively. I prefer sitting in the main dining area but it gets loud. The back is dark but quieter. They start off your meal with Wonder bread style Italian bread and a ramekin of real butter. The salads are the best part with a horseradish tasting mustard dressing. WOW..chilled and delish. I always get the shrimp scampi but opted for the eggplant parm. The menu prices are around 16.95 and up to 22.95 while the black board specials are 26.95-31.95. Wine can be had for 6.00-7.00 a glass or do a carafe. My teen had the chicken parm. Our friend had the veal and my buddy he had the eggplant too. He chose a side of asparagus and it came with 5 stalks, rather meager. We all had a small side of pasta. One had oil and garlic and my teen and I had a lovely marinara that stuck to our forks. It was a small serving. Now I must preface this by saying I am an eggplant parm fan and she is a chicken parm fan. We both love Girardi's (902 Main in S. Yarmouth) and she works there creating slight bias. Both the eggplant and chicken parm at Gina's were just ok. Mine was more cheesy and it was hard to detect the eggplant. Her chicken was hard and lacking the flavour she loves. We each ate half and brought the remainder for lunch today. By the way, I drank water all night. Something was mighty salty. our waitress Sarah was a delight but never checked on us once served and we had quite a wait for her to come by at the end of our meal. We had a great time, love the setting and had a good meal. It's worth a stop into Gina's but avoid peak Friday or Sat. in the summer.

Cons:
long wait same menu aside from specials white bread is not great
